Paediatric Endocrinologists

Effective October 1st 2015, the Division of Endocrinology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Department of Paediatrics, an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting two faculty members to fill permanent, full-time positions. We seek outstanding and highly motivated academic paediatric endocrinologists to become part of our team.

The Division of Endocrinology is the major referral centre for paediatric endocrinology in the largest city in Canada, providing care to children and adolescents with a full range of endocrine disorders. We have excellent programs in diabetes, calcium and bone disorders, obesity, reproductive endocrinology, disorders of sexual differentiation, oncology-related endocrine disorders, transgender care, and general endocrinology. We have highly productive clinical and basic science research programs. We are actively engaged in education at all levels and have an outstanding paediatric endocrinology fellowship program.

As an integral member of our team, responsibilities will include a combination of clinical care, teaching, and research, with the mix of responsibilities depending on candidate background and job activity profile. Applications are encouraged across job profiles, including academic clinicians, educators, and clinical and basic researchers.

The successful candidates should be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and Salary ($210,000 - $280,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefit package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care and a relocation package. All candidates must have an M.D. or foreign equivalent and be certified by the Royal College in Paediatrics and Endocrinology or have equivalent training and have the ability to be academically productive.
